The firing order on that engine should be 1 3 7 2 6 5 4 8 and if you look on your intake you should see the numbers on it and don't forget number one is on the passenger side

The Transmission range selector switch is most likely defective.

this is one american motor i have done around this year and by-passed the immobilisor so i suspect that the immobilisor has already been by-passed but they didnt remove the bulb in the dash
