There is none in line is low oil pressure shut off, relay and the pump if it is not working then either the oil pressure switch is bad or the pump has gone out

SOURCE: 95 gmc jimmy rough idle fuel in exhaust drives

Purchase new egr valve gasket with screen on it. The motor as it get older produces more carbon it then begins to break off and when the valve opens it get caught in there. i have cleaned mine several times and finally found the gasket at napa for around 22 bucks. All you need it 10mm wrech and 10mm socket with ext. takes around 10 min to do.

2004 gmc jimmy fuel shut off switch location ?

This may be related to the antitheft system The system is known for turning off the starter and/or injectors when it fails. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY? This is a common problem worth looking into. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/

Does my 95 gmc jimmy hav a emergencie fuel shut off switch

Yes. It's not somthing that's manual in any way tho. It's called an "Inertia relay"
and it's typically located on the drivers side firewall, next to the brake master cylinder. It shuts off the fuel pump when there is an accident or a rollover "impact"
If there is more than one relay there, turn the ignition switch to the run position, then pull and replace "repetidly" the fuel pump fuse. You will hear a clicking noise from the correct relay. Thats IF you are trying to track it down......also, you will need a second person to "feel" the relays to sense the vibration of the click.

Where is the emergency fuel shut off on 97 jimmy?

Your Jimmy doesn't have an emergency fuel shut off. Have you determined you're not getting power to the fuel pump?

1987 gmc jimmy wont start

yea you have no fuel and sound like a bad harness and the gm's are know for there fuel pump harness's! did you change it when you changed the pump? there is a lose connection somewhere in the fuel delivery system and it's pretty simply! i would check the fuel pump relay on the left hand side of the engine compartment and maybe even put power to the pump at the relay position "b" on the fuel pump relay harness and there should be a one pin connector to put power to also connected to the same position on the relay "b" the wire should be tan and white! good luck

2001 Jimmy shut down while driving. The ECM1 fuse blew. Replaced fuse and it blew. disconected circuits related to ECM1 fuse. reconected one circuit at a time. Fuse did not blow and Jimmy started. Why?

The first thing you should do is to locate the oil pressure switch/sending unit.

It's a single wire terminal with plastic connect sensor from the engine block.

This switch serves two functions.

1) provide oil pressure reading

2) disable the fuel pump relay in event of oil pressure loss.

===

When this switch is failing to provide the correct pressure to the ECU. The wiring harness can overheat and eventually create a short.

ECM1 fuse blow is because the harness is grounding/shorting.

===

DO NOT drive the truck until you change the oil pressure switch.

After you change the switch,you should spend sometime to inspect the wiring between the fuel pump relay,ECU and fuel pump.

Please post up day on the comment window/page.

I will follow up on it later.

Good luck.
