Question about 1988 Mazda B2200
Even when applying the brakes gently this brake locks up! It happens a little less easily when there's a load on the tray.
is it to do with the handbrake adjustment, newer shoes on that side (as i only just bought it). Or is it something more sinister.
Could be cable from handbrake seized/stuck on, or adjustment needs backing off, or wheel cylinder or axle seal leak. Drum will have to come off to verify, which may be hard to get off because it's too tight. If you can spin wheel by hand, you might be o.k. to get drum off.
