Is there anything that you did recently that might suggest why you started having this problem in the first place? Are you sure that you have enough power going to the starter. If it has been sitting or just had oil added or an even switched out, jump starting it might be needed to give it a little more power to turn over. Is the starter clicking at all? Please post more specifics to help me understand the problem better and answer the questions above for me.

Fuel filter , weak pump, or bad injector. Most likely fuel filter but since you changed it already then look into the other two options I posted above. The computer would not indicate a problem with the SERVICE ENGINE SOON
light if the fuel pump was going bad, because it does not monitor

See if you can get a mechanic to check the fuel pressure, and if it
fluctuates a lot then you need a new pump, not cheap unfortunately.

You can replace the TPS without replacing the whole throttle body.
The TPS is held in by rivets instead of screws. Just use a hacksaw to carefully cut slots in the top of the rivets so you can use a screwdriver to back them out. When you put the new TPS in just use standard screws. Thanks

Starts and runs fine until accelerating to about 2500rpm then cuts off. why?

make, model, year?
get trouble code from auto parts store that will do it free
suspect tps (throttle position sensor) if scanner found none
other suspects: vehicle speed sensor, engine revolution sensor, ecm or pcm

I have a 95 Chevy k1500 no ecm codes sputers a little at idle just touch the gas its fine go over 1/4 and it sputers let go to in that range it will even out and slowly gain speed having trouble hold 55 on...

Clean the throttle plate(back side) and throttle body(inside), brake clean and a tooth brush. Replace the fuel filter. This will take care of your problem. Beware though, since the filter was clogged it could have weakened the fuel pump. This would be the next thing to die.

Gas pedal wont work 2005 f 150

You need spark plugs, the champion on piece ones
in the motor (were talking 5.4 V8 here)
Can't have plugs in there older than 3 years

You need front oxygen sensors replaced at 100,000 miles

You most likely have several failed COP Ignition Coils, that
give you throttle body codes (the problem IS the coils NOT
the tps sensor or TACM on throttle body-just replace the
coils yourself (Rock Auto.Com for parts)

Clean the MAF Sensor (CRC MAF Cleaner)
New air filter

1992 K1500, code 22, clicking noise from throttle body, will not accelerate properly, changed TPS with no change

OBD Code 22 - Throttle Position Sensor Error (Signal Low)
The Throttle Position sensor signals the Engine Control Module as to the current position of the engine throttle valve. The current throttle valve opening is based on the driver's input from the gas pedal. The ECM uses the information from this sensor to help calculate fuel delivery and spark timing.

* Extended cranking, possible no-start condition
* Lack of power
* Erratic transmission operation

Common Problems:
* A failed Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) would be the most common causes for code 22
* Testing the TPS circuit would involve checking voltage and ground from the ECM-5v is the normal reading between the ECM reference circuit and the ECM ground circuit at the TPS connector. Checking the TPS signal circuit to the ECM would involve monitoring the TPS signal on a scan tool while jumping the 5v reference and the signal circuits. The TPS reading should go from high when the circuit is "jumpered" to low when the jumper is removed.

Keep us updated.

On a 04 camry with 2.4 ltr engine, can I replace just the throttle position sensor or do i have to replace the entire throttle body? The engine code said faulty throttle body.

I think the terms "Throttle Positon Sensor", TPS and "Throttle Body" can be misleading at least in regards to the 04 Camry.

My 04 Camry gave a diagnostic reading of P2121 for my problem "Throttle PEDAL position switch D circuit". However, we changed out the complete Throttle Body/TPS (Toyota Part #22030-0H020) that did NOT fix problem.

The 04 Camry TPS Electronic Module "Throttle Positon Sensor" is factory assembled and riveted to the side of the throttle body. The only way to service/inspect it would be to cut off or drill out the rivets. Not sure you could open the darn thing if you got it off, but that seems to be the only way Toyota sells them!!

Hopefully a new Throttle PEDAL Position Sensor (Toyota Part # 78010-33010 PEDAL ASSY, ACC)
will fix it. This is located under the dash near the accelerator pedal.

So, now I would recommend FIRST to replace the "Throttle PEDAL Positon Sensor" (it is much, much cheaper) and then the Throttle Body/TPS assembly!! Unless of course, you get a diagnostic code as you did for "faulty throttle body!!

I just bought a used Ram about a month ago and we had to drop a new engine in it because it stalled everytime i hit the gas and then let off and two cylinders werent hitting. It has the 5.9L V8. However,...

I would look at the crank sensor or cam sensor, when the crank sensor in my ram went bad it would run when cold and then stall as soon as I put it into reverse,or when the engine warms up,check the ecm for codes,
