Throttle seems stuck on a 1995 ford probe as when engine is started it races with no control

This sounds like a major vaccum leak or a stuck IAC(idle air control) motor.Look for a loose/broken vacuum line(a large hose feeds the brake booster and the PCV valve).(my stepson's Sable had a rotten vacuum elbow).

Oil is disappering with no leaks please help me

ENGINE BURNING OIL MORE LIKELY.CHECK SPARK PLUGS IF THEY LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE OIL DEPOSIT ON THEM.YOUR ENGINE HAS WORN PISTON RINGS AND WORN VALVE GUIDES WORN VALVE SEALS.ALSO CHECK PCV VALVE MAKE ITS GETTING VACUUM.YOU SHOULD GET SUCTION AT PCV VALVE WHEN YOU REMOVE IT FROM VALVE COVER PLACE THUMB AGAINST VALVE SHOULD BE VACUUM COMING FROM IT.IF NOT LOOK FOR DISCONNECTED, LOOSE OR BROKEN VACUUM LINE AT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD FEEDING THE PCV VALVE HOSE.

My check engine light is still on after replacing both oxygen sensors and cleaning mass airflow.

I would need to know the code you received but I'm assuming you're replacing these parts due to a lean concern. The focus is known for vacuum leaks at the pcv hose elbow. Look on the back side of the intake plenum between the engine and firewall and you'll see a vacuum hose/tube coming from the center of the intake going toward the drivers side of the engine. Check this hose, especially at the elbow for a sucked in or broken hose. If this isn't the problem, the easiest thing to do is to hook up a scan tool and monitor thr short term fuel trim pids. Spray the intake and surrounding area with 2+2 or a similiar accelerant. the fuel trims will go negative when you spray near the vacuum leak. Good luck. Be sure to clear the keep alive memory after the repair. This can be done with the scan tool or by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes. Good luck.

P0172 AND P0174 FORD F150 1998

Basically this means that an oxygen sensors
in bank 1 and bank 2 detected a rich condition (too little oxygen in the exhaust).

A code P0172 and P0174 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
1. The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
2. There could be a vacuum leak.
3. There could be a fuel pressure or delivery problem

Possible solutions include:
Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
Clean the MAF sensor. Consult your service manual for its location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
Inspect fuel lines for cracks, leaks, or pinches
Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail
Check the fuel injectors, they may be dirty. Use fuel injector cleaner or get them professionally cleaned/replaced.
Check for an exhaust leak before the first oxygen sensor (this is unlikely to cause the problem, but it is possible)

I am installing a Holley 2818 on my '65 327 and need help with routing the PCV lines. Which line goes to the PCV inlet on the carb? The rear block inlet or the one on the oil filler neck?

On the 2818 holley there is a calibrated elbow on drivers side of carb about centre of the main body. This connects to oil filler stand pipe in front of intake.Fresh air hose goes from air cleaner to back of block where road draft tube used to be before PCV came along.
The calibrated elbow serves as PCV metered orifice.Be sure flame arrester screen is inside of air cleaner on fresh air connection.

My 2001 ford escort zx2 has a vacumn leak in the pvc elbow it also was kicking back an engine lean code. it runs but idle runs like it is trying to die when stopped. i've replaced the 02 sensor, plugs,...

for sure its the pcv elbows and hose.
you can only get the part from the dealer and they do not sell the elbows seperatly.you will need to get the whole hose.
they are 30 dollars from the dealer .you get the tube with new elbows on both ends.
its on the driver side under the hood and goes under the thermostat housing.
it is very easy to confuse it with the water heater hose.
the pcv tube connects to the pcv valve then routes back to the bottom of the intake tubes.both elbows are heat burt and torn open.
you will have to replace this new part and for sure all your check engine lights will stop as this air is getting by the mass sensor and not accounting for it in the fuel delivery there for showing a lean mix.a vaccum leak will let unaccounted air in the system and the computer will not deliver fuel for this air .not enough fuel is a lean burn.i just did one on this car 2 days ago.take off the intake tubes so you can reach down in there to take off the old .
let me know if it helps.

Fixed up my 360 and trying to work out the bugs.

There is a better way to go about this.

Here is a perfect opportunity to open up that vacuum shift motor, by using a hacksaw or other implement of destruction (Sawzall!!!) and open the top of that shift motor, so tht it can be resealed with JB Weld or Mig Welding or something, after the following mod is fabbed up.

See that shaft in there, get a teleflex cable to hook to that shaft, and you have just changed your vacuum shift motor to a cable actuated shift motor.

NO MORE VACUUM LINES...falling off, motors freezeng, water vapor getting in the lines and freezing, cracking, oil and transmission fluids saturating lines and causing loose fittings, getting torn off by brush, debris, etc...

Drilling a hole in the center of the top, run the Teleflex cable thru it, and place a rubber bushing around the cable to seal the opening.

Attaching a clasp to the end of the Teleflex cable and drill or thread the end of the shaft to accept an appropriate attachment point.

Thread-Loc the attachment point on to the shaft, attach the Teleflex cable to the shaft, slide the top back and seal the chamber (the top cut off earlier), and route the cable.

A good source of information.
