Make sure #1 is top dead center(TDC) or all the way up in the bore. Set the lower chain, use the marks dot to dot. then the cams, the intake cam has it's own mark as well as the exaust cam the marks on the cam should be strait up and down to the reflecting cam. put the chains on. Spin the engine over by hand to make sure you are right.

90 f150 rough idle in park and neutral. drive fine.

Hi, Seems like a possible inlet air leak or to low engine revs, tickover rpm to low.outside chance engine oil to thick, try lower vicousity engine oil. this sometimes works with a rebuilt motor. Could be engine is just still tight from rebuild,1-2000 miles running in should cure this. if still low mileage.

Constant vibration in driveline

You probably have bad drive axles. They are worn internally and shudder or vibrate when you drive down the road. Do not go to a local rebuilder to fix or repair what you have. You will only have to replace them again in a month. You have a better chance of getting a good axle out of a salvage yard. Use factory rebuilt or new axles for the best results. I personally went through a dozen (6 pairs) the last pair being Chrysler rebuilt before I got a good set that would hold up. Most rebuilders will warranty there bad rebuilds . After a while you just get tired of replacing the aftermarket rebuilds at a one to two month interval. My Chrysler rebuilt axles have been in for six years now and took care of the vibration that kept coming back with the aftermarket rebuilds.

What all do i need to rebuild my isuzu motor that is a 1.8 liter 4 cylnder

Well, you'll need a gasket set, and whatever parts you're going to replace, like bearings for the crankshaft and rings for the pistons, etc.

Also, you might need a timing belt if yours has one.

I once rebuilt a 1979 Honda Accord 1.8L engine this way.

The dealer can help you find the right parts for your engine.

Purchase a book on the subject, as the rebuild process can be complicated.

Also, you need a garage to keep your parts clean and dry as you perform the rebuild process.

Helps to have electricity in the garage for lighting up your work space.

Need a torque wrench to tighten down the head bolts, and socket wrench set for undoing bolts in the first place.

That's basically all I remember from doing the job on the 1979 Honda
Accord in the 80s which probably would apply to your Isuzu motor.

I need to rebuild my engine.

You're better off buying a 'crate' motor instead. Rebuilding an engine is seriously complicated, but dropping in a freshly rebuilt one is not that bad. You can also try the local junkyards, they often have complete engines for sale. The nice thing about crate motors is they usually come with a warranty, I doubt a junkyard motor would.

Gm 350 runs rough and back fires at idle after head replacment

Sounds Like a timing issue . If you rebuilt it i feel silly to ask if you set the timing to 12-13 BTDC . And also keep in mind it could be 180 degrees out (same marks yet still a little bit off...) Keep me posted with more info and ill keep replying

Powerglide tranny rebuilt bines motor and only has reverse

Sounds like the trany shop didn't rebuild the transmission like they were. Take the truck back to the shop and have them rebuild it at their cost, if they did it not to long ago.

I need a good mechanic to rebuild my engine or install a new one

Are you sure that your timing is set right. This will make it sound like this, also if the valves are not adjusted right will make alot of noise. The person who rebuilt the motor should stand behind his/her work!!!???
