My 2001 dodge grand caravan's new water pump is not fitting between the fram and engine block. The old one came out with no problem. Is there a trick to getting it in?

Should be in the owners manual & maybe on a
sticker under the hood
Seeing as how you can not buy the old green stuff any more
& you surely don't use GM Dexcool which by the way is 85%
of all the coolant on any shelf out there
The one size fits all,not in my vehicles
Yellow Prestone at wal mart & everywere else
Read the back, same chemicals as dexcool
Answer: 2001 or 2002 on---Zerex G-05 Coolant
Mix 50/50 or my preference 60/40 with Distilled
Water from supermarket
NEVER tap water- too many minerals & other things
that do not go in a coolant system
drain coolant loosen water pump pulley bolts, take off serpentine belt, finish removing pulley, unbolt water pump (5 bolts) and remove scrap off old gasket silicone new gasket to new water pump and reverse steps for installation
depends on the engine....a 2.4 requires the removal of the timing belt......on a 3.3 /3.8 the water pump is on the passenger side close to the fire wall.look for an orange or green coored residue in the vacinity of the pump....i would bet its leaking
What engine? 3.0L.3.3L, or 3.8L
