Recharging sould be a simple process for just about any owner. with todays new user friendly kits available at any auto parts store its almost full proof. just ask for the R134A recharge kit. find the low pressuer port on your car. useualy its near the reciever drier. Blue cap. unscrew the cap. screw on the charging hose and pull the trigger till the gage reads into the green. and ur done. If it leaks down in a week or less you have a major leak and sould have a quailfied tech pressuer test it and repair as needed. Steve

My a/c unit is not blowing cold air

You may need to have the Freeon recharged. I would take it to a mechanic.

A/C leaks freeon

Very infrequently if the system is sound and working properly. If the system is leaking then it will need recharging more often! Most car spares shops will stock a 'leak-seeker' aerosol can to help you identify the leak! Good luck.

Where do we put freeon for the air conditionner

There are only 2 fittings on your ac system. The low side is the one you put in refrigerant (r134a). It is the smaller sized fitting usually located on low side hose that connects to receiver dryer (looks like a can on passenger side firewall). The quick connect fitting on any recharge hose will only fit on this correct fitting. The other one (high side) is too large to fit. So you cant put it in the wrong one.

Air conditioner doesn't work, compressor kick on and there seems to be a hole in the hose that delivers freeon to the engine.

replace hose and recharge your AC. Dealer will charge a fortune. Get a kit from autozone for about $40.
