Same problem I have the same problem. AC went dead and it is over 90 here. Where is the low side port? I too have bought a home recharge kit and have found a valve with a green cap stating EVAP Service Port. Is this the correct port?

Mazda6 ac recharge valves

the correct one should be smaller, and your recharge hose should be only able to connect to it. the smaller fitting is the low side, and the larger fitting is the high side. recharge only to the low side. the high side is used by technicians with elaborate ac manifold guages to monitor success. these guage kits can be bought at harbor freight for about 55 dollars, and give a better recharge,as you can regulate pressure as not to overfill, which lessens the cooling

Where, exactly, IS the low line port for recharging the AC on my 2003 Chevy Malibu? OR is the coupler that came with the recharge kit the wrong size? I've assumed that most AC units have a standard...

You found the high side port. The other line should have the low side and if it is not on there it might be at the AC evaporator which is a cylinder shape made of aluminum. The cap will have a L on it not a H. Do not force it on the high side.

Where is the low side port for th AC located? Found two ports, one on compressor and one located on line near compressor.

The a/c recharge kit will only fit on the low side. So you can't get a can to fit on the high side.

Ac not working, I'm trying to use a recharge kit that i bought at walmart but i can't find the low pressure port, do you know where it is?

It depends on the engine size, for the 4 cylinder,it is under the car on the low side ac line on the ac compressor,if it is a v6 engine it is most likely under the air cleaner box, near,or on the dryer. If this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

How do I recharge the ac with the kit

The kit will have full instructions included. The important thing is to tap into the LOW side of the A/C ...NOT the high side. The low side port is located between the compressor and the accumulator. The low side port also has a blue/light blue cap over the valve. The high side has a red cap.

Where is the low side service port on a 2003 grand am (6cyl)

If your talking about the low side sevice port to charge your ac, its easy to find. With your recharge kit, it comes with a nozzle to attach to this lowside port. Each port, (lowside and highside), are different diameters. The charging nozzle will ONLY fit onto the lowside port. Just run the length of your ac lines from the compressor and trace them back to the firewall. You should find both ports before you hit the firewall.

AC booster recharge hook-up

You can only attach the the recharge hose from the kit to the low side ( A/C service port) and the cap should be blue with a leter L on it. Good luck and follow the instruction and don't over charge the system. With the AC on the coldest setting, use a thermometer in a middle vent. Normal vent temperature readings will vary depending on the (ambient) outside temp. The vent temperature should range from around 42-55 degrees in my experience. If normal gauge readings are obtained and the vent air is cold - STOP don’t overcharge the system. The only proper way to remove refrigerant is with a AC recovery machine so if this is being done at home I can’t emphasize enough not to over charge the system. And actually the best way to insure the proper charge is in a system, is to use an AC machine to recover the R134a and then evacuate and recharge the system with the correct amount. Most cars have the specified amount on a decal under the hood.  Good luck and hope this helps.

Help with ac recharge

If you have a refill kit, the hose will only connect to the low side hose. Most likely, the hose under the filter is the high side hose. Hope this answers your question. Best of luck.
