Question about 1997 Toyota 4Runner
Has an intermittent miss when at idle.Misses on medium/heavy load. If you feather throttle (any gear) miss goes away. Most significant under 2000 rpm's. Seems to abate some after new plugs. Cylnder #2 is fouling a little.
Has new coils/wires and CORRECT plugs (by book)
Factory plugs are not always the best tool for the application. In your case, you use the vehicle for something that would be deemed as heavier usage as per your question. What you need is to contact your local dealer or Auto parts store for platinum tip or double platinum tip plugs for a greater spark, o r you could replace with the recommended pluga and regap them for a greater spark...
