Question about 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora
The camshaft positioning sensor is hidden behind the starter motor on the 3.5 6-cyl. engine. The starter motor must be removed to replace the sensor.

The crankshaft sensor is located just above the the oil filter, which is by the front of the engine, by the firewall. I reached it from underneath the car. There is one bolt holding it in place.
