Open tail gate, remove the 2 screws on side of light assembly, and pull out. The rest will be easy to figure out.

How to fix a 2009 Honda accord brake light on the drivers side. I replaced the bulb on both side but still the brake light doesn't work on the drivers side.

Go to www.bbbind.com for a wiring diagram of the brake light circuit , get a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter an trace out the circuit . You know the right side works so the brake light switch is good . Take your volt meter an check to see which part of the circuit is bad . At the brake light bulb socket test for voltage on the power side , if battery voltage is there, then check ground side . I forgot you need to have some one press on the brake pedal while testing . You could have a bad ground or an open on the power side of the circuit , you need to find the wiring harness that goes to the back of the car , check connectors ,wiring etc... There is more to electrical trouble shooting then just replacing parts . Watch this video on voltage drop testing . Mastering Voltage Drop Testing with Pete Meier and Jerry Truglia

2011 Ford Escape driver side tail light not working correctly - lights are on but turn signal flash not working and neither is the brighter brake light

I would guess that you need a new bulb. Many of these tail lights actually have two filaments inside them, one that is used for a dimmer light (running light) and one that is used for a brighter light like (brake light, turn signal). The easiest thing to try (and probably the cheapest) would be to buy a replacement bulb and change it. Most places that sell automotive light bulbs will have a large catalog where you look up the make model and year of the car you need a light for and it will tell you which replacement bulb you will need. Then look in your cars manual to see how you access and replace the bulb.

To clarify my post, driver side rear brake light does not work when braking. Need help

Easy, jus replace the bulb. No more than $20 and it should b an easy on n off wit little to no tools. But first have someone look at the lights or u and with the key in the on position engine off and lights on, does everything light up? If yes good. Then have have the person or yourself step on the brakes and if the passenger side brake light do light up and obviously not ur driver side then its and easy bulb replacement.

How do you replace the driver side brake light

This is fairly easy, just open the trunk of the car go to the side you need to change, pull away the covering, there maybe plastic pins so use a flat point screw driver to remove gentle, you will see the wires and plastic bracket around it,twist the entire bracket anti-clockwise and you should be able to pull the bracket out with the bulbs inserted.gentle pull the bulb out and replace as needed

Brake light, 2008 Nissan Sentra

Open the trunk and locate the trim door that covers the back of the drivers side tail light assembly. Open the door and locate the bulb holder. The bulb holder can be removed from the tail light assembly housing by turning counter clockwise 1/4 turn. Holding the bulb holder in one hand, press gently on the bulb and turn then bulb counter clockwise to remove. Replace with a combo bulb and reverse proceedure to re-install.

PT Cruiser Brake Light

The bulb in the rear light has burned out and to replace it follow these instructions: 1) go to your owner's manual to find out the part number. You can find and purchase the replacement bulb at Target, any auto parts store and even at Walmart for under $4.00; 2) pop open the trunk door; 3) get a phillips screw driver and unscrew the 2 screws holding the rear brake light fixture to your car body; 4) as soon as you turn over the fixture you'll see where to pull out the burned out bulb and replace it with the new one(s). Good luck!
