SOURCE: Starting Problem

Look on the distributor. There is a module on it that, when too hot, will cause miss/stall/no re-start situations.

SOURCE: Runs 5 minutes then dies. Won't start until engine is cold.

Try the WD-40 spray in intake of throttle body with air intake hose off, to see if it will kick at all, even for a second or 2. We need to confirm whether your losing fuel or spark when it dies. Ignition & fuel, can cause similar symptoms in this case.

SOURCE: STARTS and runs well but

I had the same problem but when I changed the Mass Air Flow it was solved. I am suprised that you changed the MAF and you are still getting problems. Please get an OBD check. The problem must be having something to do with electronics and the ODB will definetly be able to read it.

Hi My 2005 Same Dorado 85 Tractor. It starts from cold easily first time around. But once the engine has been running for several minutes it stops.

sounds like you could have a coolant temp sensor issue. If it senses the engine temperature higher than it actually is, it will tell the engine computer to shut down.

Also I'm not showing an 05 Eldorado, if you could give the correct information for your car, it would be very helpful
