How do i open stuck hood possible broken cable

Without pulling on the cable, there is no other option.

have someone push down on hood and try to open ---- reach behind the lever and disconnect cable use a vise grip to pull cable if cable is broken---- than behind grille is latch look through grill and will need a metal hook to grab cable and pull cable towards grille and pull through cut cable cover back and pull cable back

Push hood back down hard,then pull on
hood release hard again.If not work,trace wire
inside as far as you can and get grips or pliers
and pul from as far up the line as you can.If it
opens as it should,you can easily unattache wire
from pull handle put a knot in wire,this will shorten it
so easier to undo next time.Infact you might try that first.
If none work which I doubt,get push to start and drive
to garage.LUCK

While pulling on the hood lever have someone else push down and pull up on hood. If that does not work you will have to try to open it manually by trying reach up and pulling the lever right on the latch. My guess is the latch is gummed up with dirt or the cable is stretched. have someone push down on that part of the hood while you pull the release. Usually that frees it and it should be adjusted up so it will open again

take off the left front wheel and fender well. slice off the hood cable insulation get a hook too pull the wire have a buddy pull up on the hood while doing this. Should pop open then hope this helps u out.

can you reach the cable itself?,or is it broke at the hood latch?IF its not broken at the outside latch, try to follow the cable,un-hook it from the handle and pull on the wire cable to open it.IF its broken at the latch itself,you are going to have to reach the latch through the grille and try to pull the lever the cable connects to.That part is no fun at all..!!

the hood latch is stuck.U can try tapping on the hood by the latch while slowly pulling up on the hood.Or u can climb under the car and push the lock lever back and that will pop the hood

Usually you can grab the end of the cable with a good pair of visegrips and get it to release. However, if the lock under the hood is stuck, you may have to pull on cable and have someone push down on the hood to get the latch to unlock.

try getting another person to push hood down whilst you pull the release lever if this does not work locate cable behind puller handle and use pliers to pull just a little more then when opened be sure to adjust cable a little tighter
