Question about 1992 Audi 80
Misfiring on No.4 Cylinder. Runs smooth as butter when cold but starts to misfire when normal temp is reached. Less roughness at higher revs, almost normal when under heavy load. Pulled plug leads in turn to identify No.4 as culprit. Renewed Distributor cap, rotor, all plugs/ plugleads. No change. Tested cylinder pressures, all at 182 psi including no.4. I'm thinking in terms of a valve problem, but don't want to lift the head unless I have to. Have I missed anything ? (Sometimes you can be looking at the obvious and not see it !) Any suggestions?
