Replacing the remote battery (CR1616) is very easy but should be done with care to ensure the screwhead doesn't strip. Full instructions here:

Usually not. Disconnect negative battery terminal, then positive. Next remove battery hold down (type is specific to car model). Battery then lifts out and replace with correct new one. Install is reverse.

I have a 95 lexus ls 400...the battery had to be replaced. the radio doesn't come on after battery replacement. is there a reset issue?

if you can get the radio out of dash there is a serial number on the top of radio call lexus number in the owners manual and they can retrieve the code or they will put you in touch with tech support. This way you dont have to go to the dealership and pay hefty charge for the two do three minutes work.

Intermittently does not start- not a battery problem

Could be an earth problem, take off the earth strap from the battery to the car body, clean any corrosion and replace, do the same with the body to engine strap.

Why is my lexus ls 400 trunk leaking

ls 400 - trunk leaks water. Fix -- Under the trunk seal at the bottom/rear you'll see that two pieces of metal come together. The adhesive / sealant that is used at the factory seems to leak with age. pull off the seal and use a good adhesive sealer to prevent water from leaking down between the two pieces of metal. Reinstall the trunk seal after it has dried and set properly.

I think, for this problem you have to go to the dealer. There is a few things that they have to do @ the same time. Also, make sure that you bring all of your keys to make sure that they all work with the transponder, good luck...matty
