If it is like a Falcon there is no dip stick and is only refilled when serviced. Talk to your Auto Transmission service man and get a service if you are worried

SOURCE: 2006 ford taurus leaked tranny fluid out of dip stick

You need to find out were the fluid is leaking from first...
It may have been because the the dip stick was half way out...
Id just keep an eye on the fluid levels and if it stays the same than that's what it could have been.
Keep us posted!!!

SOURCE: I have a 2006 Ford

You may not be able to really. Some of these have dipsticks and some do not. CVT transmissions do not but some 6 speed transmissions do. If you do have one it should be near the air filter box. IF you have one....put the vehicle in park and start it up. Leave it running at an idle for several minutes until its good and hot. While it is running and hot, pull the stick and check the level. (be very careful) Fluid should be red in color and at the point on the stick where is says warm. If it is brown, you have trouble, if it is low, you have trouble. ie leak. Either way you look at it. ANY time a tranny slips it DOES cause further damage. I recommend a tranny shop

SOURCE: what tools do I need

You need regular hand tools especially a socket big enough to remove the CV axle nut and possibly a tool to separate the ball joint and outer tierod if necessary.

SOURCE: how do i check transmissiom fluid 2006 jetta

Hi there,

Jetta's 2006 carry sealed gear box. There is no dip stick to check the transmission fluid. Per manufacturer, transmission fluid requires to change unless there is any issue with transmission. I hope this helps.

How many quarts of trans fluid does a 2000 ford explorer v6 need

Did you check your trans dip stick? The tranny dip stick usually has a quart low mark. If this is a manual tranny, that is different, you didn't specify automatic or manual tranny?
{Automatic tranny, the spec is for dry fill, only. 10--12.7 quarts . Dry fill means not a drop of tranny fluid in the vehicle.}
You have to check proper fluid level, that is your responsibility. Your owners manual may have some of this info?

IF this is a automatic the tranny is bad and your check engine light should be on. Future advice all tranny fluid should be changed at 30 to 40 thounsand miles,,,,,,,,,,thats why we are seeing so many bad trannies

How many quarts of transmission fluid does a 2001

If the leak is not to bad then they do sell a transmission leak stopper. Ask at the auto parts store. If the leak is real bad then done waste your hard earned cash. You will need to find and fix the leak. You should do this any ways. But in the mean time to check the tranny fluid and I am assuming it is an auotmatic? Then you need to put the emergency brake on and stick it in neutral. Then start the engine and then check the dip stick.Remember this important tip. The dip stick on an automatic transmission is measured in pints and not quarts unlike the oil dip stick.
If the tranny dip stick is down one notch then add just a pint to bring it to the full mark. If no fluid is presant on the stick you can safely add 3/4 of a quart and then recheck. To add the fluid you will need to shut the engine off and then restart it to recheck it. The torque converter holds 90 percent of the tranny fluid and it takes quite a bit. Some vehicles it takes 8 quarts just for the converter to get full. Yours should only hold maybe 6 but thats a guess so you may want to ask the parts store guy to look it up for you. You would not be completely empty if it drives though. So follow my info above and get back to me if you need more help. Like when you find the leak. Good Luck, The Raz

I CAN NOT FIND THE TRANSMISSION DIP STICK

You are not stupid it does not have a dip-stick.
To check the fluid you have to first have it warmed up.
Then you will see a plug on the tranny pan with an allen screw in the center.
To check the fluid level you have to remove the allen screw and you should have a steady drip.
Here is a pick of what it looks like

If you have to add fluid you will need special tool no 307-437
