Question about 1985 Ford F 250
If any engine sits too long it will lock up but what's too long ?
I would suspect for a diesel thats gonna be 10 + years
I have had diesel blocks sit in my shop for months on nothing more than a piece of wood and get put back in and run fine months later
so whats too long

It depends upon the enviroment the truck is stationed in. If you did not drain the truck before parking it for a long time. It tends to block intake valves etc.
