Check fuses and relays and wiring for damage also check the fusible link (master fuse )---you didnt specify your vehicle so if you follow your positive cable from battery looking for a round splice possible black cylinder looking or a junction box some are by engine some are by radiator support

I have a 2000 ram 3500 van the third brake light works but the main 2 does not

https://ibb.co/RT5jLCn

Click on the link. It appears the lower brake lamps are wired through the multifunction switch. The high mount brake lamp isn't wired that way. At the rear, the turn and stop use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time. And, at rear, black wire is ground. Got to have voltage and ground.

1999 Lincoln town car tail lights are not working at night brake lights work and bulbs are good just changed the lcm and i dont have a the manuel to see what fuse to check can anyone help

You can see fuses in diagram, hope it's large enough to read. The B at bottom right, brown wire carries voltage for tail lamps. At the rear, brown wire is voltage and black wire is ground for tail lamps. You can use test light to check voltage and ground, both. If the other rear lamps work, ground is probably ok. As you can see, the main light switch signals the Lcm. Your owners manual should tell you which fuse is which. owner.ford.com should have your owners manual, it's free to read online. good luck

98 buick century. Brake lights and headlights not working, but 3rd brake light is. No bli kkers or 4 ways. Need schematic or a good idea where to look. Thanks

http://ibb.co/bWSoNS

Click on the link. This is for stop lamps, Your lower brake lamps are wired through the multifunction switch. The high-mount brake lamp isn't wired that way.
At the rear, stop lamps, right side, dark green wire is voltage for stop lamps, black wire is ground. For the left rear, stop lamp, yellow wire is voltage, black is ground.
At the moment, I think your multifunction switch is faulty?

Rear light wiring diaghram 2009 trailblazer

https://s23.postimg.org/kd1ldovp7/rear_park_lamp.jpg

Click on the link.
The rear lamps you can also call the park lamps as well as tail lamps
The top wires are voltage to lamp assembly. Bottom wires are ground, black wire. You see the fuses, with the headlamp switch on, check for voltage on those fuses, use a test light. The fuses get voltage from park lamp relay. The control side of park lamp relay is grounded by bcm depending on signal from headlamp switch. I couldn't post all wiring in one picture.
I miss hit a keyboard key then it started typing differently, I don't even know why? lol

1997 Cherokee Sport. This just started yesterday. The dash lights only come on when the rear window defroster is cut on. The dash lights go off when the rear defroster is cut off. Any ideas ??

just happened or you bought it like this, ?
all else works (my other shoe drops/)? car drives ok , even at night?
well that wiring to those 2 wires are shorted together.
97xj
i guess you meant the cluster warning lamps?. or the cluster back lamps? or are you talking courtsey lamps? (they glow head lamps on)/? no sure what DASH means (as they say, location, location location) 4000 parts on a car, so.... location matter
please.

the cluster power is fuse 17, key on. white-blk wire.
that runs the whole cluster, but back light illumination lamps
back lights are on the dimmer knob.

defroster, the front glass HVAC defroster, knob.
or the rear glass heater defroster, which end of car, ?
rear glass heater is the BK/Rd wire (black-red)
powered by a RELAY , this wire is shorted. to dash xxxxxxx
if i knew what DASH means, id get way more accurate.
I have the drawing btw.
can do all electrics.

Had a similar problem with my 97 power stroke. somehow the plug in the wiring harness below the bed at the rear of the truck vibrated loose I had all lights but brake lights. Or it may be a ground wire issue. Good luck. Let us know how it works out.

2002 alero tail lights will not work

Click on the link.
I tried to get whole picture, didn't make it. This is for tail lamps. Is it the tail lamps or stop lamps, I mainly looked at the tail lamps.
Do the front park lamps work? If so, but not at the rear, I think there is a wiring circuit problem? At the rear, brown wire is voltage for tail lamps. Black wire is ground. The front park lamps--rear tail lamps and tag lamp all get voltage from the same source.
I need to add, if you can't click on the link, type into your address box.

I can not wire my new angeleye spot lights on my 2002 hyundai santa fe to the exsisting wires they are live all the time

Angel Eyes can be fitted to any motor vehicle!
Having not fitted these specific lamps before, the general idea is as follows:

Spot lights come with a +Ve terminal for the power & a -Ve for the ground (earth) and a possibly another wire for the angel eye itself.
You need to confirm if there is an in built relay already within the spot light unit which makes things more complicated.

Generally - standard spot lights:
To connect to a vehicle , you must introduce an in-line fuse + a relay to handle the load of running the two lamps. The relay has four terminals, 1) trigger terminal directly to the Main beam wire of your headlamp (white), 2) +Ve directly from the main power to the engine bay fuse box (red), 3) Earth directly to the ground of the vehicle or battery (black), 4) Power to your lamps (red or yellow or white).
Above is only a guide, you can assume two wires will certainly be power to the bulb and earth. Confirm what you have got, circuit diagrams are a must, always use correct grade of wire otherwise you will overload and overheat the overlay harness between spot lights and relay etc....

Thanks.

No brake lights or horn both on samefuse but fuses ok

There may be a wire off the horn but this is no problem as they are only push on clips so if you locate the horn and check there are no wires off, if there is this should be your problem i would also advize just changing the fuse anyway making sure it is the right amp.
