Run the fault codes
it could be a faulty od servo or VSS sensor that is causing the problem

SOURCE: Outback 1997 was overheating. Temperature

sounds like heater problem.not enough flow down to waterpump.
solution cut heater hoses and add to t junctions and join bypass so water flows through heater and through bypass straight to waterpump.

SOURCE: Nissan Terrano II 2.7TDi clutch drop

Hi I had a simular problem with my pedal sticking down it turned out to be a small white clip that had worn were the pedal return spring sits it had chaffed a recess in the white clip and was snagging, the clips are about £3.50 so its worth a look, best way i found was to take the pedal box out and do it dont forget the bolt above the pedal you can reach it with a socket, the other two hold the master cylinder on.

SOURCE: terrano gearbox keeps jumping out of overdrive and

Nissan Terrano's have an Electronic Computer that controls the gearbox. It is hidden behind the left hand rear Speaker box, right hard up against the rear seat back rest. This system controls all functions regarding the gearbox and it's rev rates. If your vehicle is shifting back on long drives then it is possible that the computer sees any slight increase in revs as a desire to "Kickback" the gearbox to a lower gearing, hence it dropping out of overdrive. Unfortunately a gearbox specialist with a computer "Plug-in" is needed to fix this, but it is fixable. This problem should not be too expensive in comparison with a new gearbox.

I have problem with my Nissan terrano 2 mechanical gearbox. It's hard to put to 1st gear. From 1'st to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, are also hard. Is it necessary to change clutch?

not a clutch problem unless you have just done a clutch kit change
more likely a hydraulic clutch problem ( air in the system) or master cylinder needing replacement .
if it is a cable operated clutch , replace the clutch

please RUN the scanner/computer for easy diagnostic. You can have some Ignition Coil+cables+sparkplug+sensor,+PCM or BCM+ etc, faulty.

Nissan terrano switches off then starts

If you changed fuel filter, check pump output. Or you have dirt in the fuel tank. Drain and inspect tank.=, or line going to the filter for clear fuel flow.
