Apparently you have lost the connection between the battery and the main power wires. First check your battery cables for corrosion and tightness, if that's OK, start checking fuses. More than likely, you've blown a main fuse, but if that's the case, you may want to figure out why the fuse blew, because those don't just blow without a reason.

SOURCE: how do I replace alternator in mazda mpv 2000?

Typically an alternator is an easy fix. It requires removal of the belt from the engine running it, and a few bolts that attach it to the engine.

Because of the engineering with the 2000 mpv, it is a very difficult fix, and one that requires removal of the transaxle and exhaust manifold, as well as removal of the lower engine mounts. It will take a qualified Mazda mechanic 3.5 hours to do the fix - you can (at least) triple that amount of time as a DIY project (assuming you have the right tools).

SOURCE: Battery light on dashboard is on

could be a loose connection of battery cables or corrosion where the battery meets the cables, also could be your alternating is appearing good, but slowing going out, somewhat draining the battery, also make sure the fluid level in the battery is good, or have someone check the level and the color should be green or your battery is going, they only last 4 or 5 years, or less depending on the usage of the truck.

SOURCE: My 2000 Mazda MPV heater fan works for 4 not for 1

You need to replace the blower motor resistor,it's in the heater box.Number 4 bypasses the resistor and all the other speeds go through it so it's the most likely problem.

Just rotate the small knob at the left of your dashboard to the right. This will increase the lights of the dashboard.

make sure all the battery connections are clean and have good contact , then check the battery , just because its new doesn't always mean its fully charged, Check in the fuse/relay box under the hood, and make sure those fuses are good,, there should be one that says Start ,

Can you turn the check engine light off on a 2000 mazda mpv by removing battery cable?

Yes Lloyd, so long as the battery cable is disconnected the light will stay off. However it will be hard to start the car without a battery so this is a fix only if the vehicle is to be a museum piece.

You may want to have the car checked and find out what problem is causing the light to come on and get that problem fixed. For when you hook the battery back up that light will come on again.

Mazda 2000 mpv does not start

Couple of things it could be.

Try turning it over without touching the gas pedal. Sounds like you flooded it.

Check the coil and engine management sytem. Its probably that.
