Door rubbers are normally a dealer item butyou could try a scrap yard that is on-line. Some of them are connected to a cross country network and they may be able to find one for you. You could also try picking up a magazine called "Cars and Parts". In the back they have an extensive classified ads listing by model for replacement parts including rubbers.

Hi, Like you said the rubber/plastic door seals have worn to the extent water is coming into your vehicle. Recommend you take it to any body works shop, they will replace the seals with new should not prove to expensive. Please leave me feedback thanks, Malcolm Campbell.

On the inside of the drivers door area where the wiring harness comes from the car to the door, open that rubber boot and see if you dont have a broken wire in there that needs repair.

Power windows and doors dont work and interior lights stay on

check for broken wires from drivers door to dash, the wires are in rubber boot where door hinges are, open drivers door and look at hinges in the middle you will see a rubber boot you may have to cut, but first pull it away from frame and door it pops out with a prybar orscrew driver slide boot back and look at wires, the wires always break in the middle, start there hopethis helps.

(1995 vw passat) central locking doesnt work just buzzes

Your central locking pump in the right rear of boot area behind light cluster may be faulty but if not check the rubber pipe between each door, open doors wide and in the big black rubber boot is the small rubber pipe. They perrish and cost peanuts to replace from any car parts shop.Do all doors regardless as one worn means all will go soon also.

I have a 2004 mk5 Golf FSI. The drivers door central locking has stopped working. The rest of the doors lock with the central locking key. Can anyone offer any help with this?

a few ideas either the wires between the door and the frame (in the rubber boot) have become worn causing a break in the line or the switch is bad the batteries need replacing in the remote or the linkage has come undone possibly the fuse is blown these are a few areas in which to address the issue with 1st

Power window on driver side door sticks

Yes the door's rubber window guide becomes dry and needs to be lubricated with a special silicone lubricant, go to Napa and ask for this silicone lube then apply it to the grooves located around the inner perimiter of the door window frame, sometimes it is neccessary to remove the door panel to access the lower window guides, if you remove the door panel becareful when removing clips along the lower part of panel you can damage the panel using a screw driver the sell a tool for this it looks like a screwdriver with a Y shape at the end. If this doesn't remidy the problem you more than likely have a worn out window motor that needs replacement.

Driver door wont lock, need help

Probably just needs a good shot of WD 40 or any other lubricant. Spray the catch on the door, and trip it with a screwdriver a few times. If that doesn't work, it may need adjusting or be worn out.

I had same problem it is a ground wire broken in the harness rubber boot between dthe driver door. Peel back the rubber that protects wires and you will find broken ground wire(black) add a piece of wire solder and wrap with electrical tape put rubber boot back into door everything should work.
