I replaced timing gears, chain, oilpump & distributor drive spindle & oil pump gear but it wants to hesitate a little bit in between gear changes, there are no check engine lights on, have cleaned distributor cap & rotor button, have adjusted timing to 10 degrees before top dead center, what is my problem ?
Did you try to check for any codes?
Testimonial: "Yes , I checked for codes, there were none. Another part that was put on it while back was a solenoid that controls the swirl control valve. The hesitation is like the engine temporarily shuts off & back on again real fast. I appreciate your help, see what you can find out on this ."
Could be crankshaft sensor.
is the crankshaft sensor located between motor & transmission ?
under crankshaft pulley.
mine is behind motor betweeen tans. & motor on the top
had a typo in last message, mine is behind motor between motor & transmission located near the top
there is no crankshaft sensor under front part of the crankshaft
I just replaced the distributor with a brand new one like someone suggested but stil have the same problem, it seems like it might be flooding out, no check engine light on, it does it right after changing gears as soon as I push the gas pedal, then it will stop, any ideas on what to do.

Is the throttle valve cable hooked up? If so, some older models this cable can be adjusted. This cable hooks to the throttle linkage and goes down to the transmission.
my vehicle is a standard not sure if it has that cable, will check to see, thank you
Manual transmissions don't have a tv cable. Clean the throttle body especially where the plate sits. Also clean the idle air control motor. Dirty air filter? replace it.
it's possible the air filter might need chaged, thanks
had a typo, misspelled the word change
I have found out that my 1997 Nissan pickup is flooding , I can hear it spray a short burst of gas then my truck misses, it's like the injector is giving it to much gas for it to be just idling, does anyone know what might be causing this, could it be a vacuum leak?
Might have the fuel pressure regulator checked. But the injector is supposed to fire like that. Might want to change spark plugs also.
ok, I will check plugs
