Can yoy tell me where the fuel filter is on an

Have you changed the plugs, changed the air filter, etc. Many times a clogged air filter will kill the mileage. Have you had a compression test to see if it is just wore out? All sorts of things need to be checked to answer this.

IN order to improve fuel consumption you must make the engine run more efficiently. here are the most important ways.
typical maintenance. (check the manual)

1. check air in tires
2. oil and oil filter change
3. spark plugs change (TUNE UP)
4. air filter change


you personally can do most of these things. go to local walmart and get most of these items. very easy.

The fuel filter should be a cylindrical looking object located near the gas tank in line with one of the fuel lines, most likely by the driver side rear door.

A4 what? wagon, sedan, quattro? gas, diesel, 4 or 6

definetly something with the fuel filter...could have been installed with the direction of fuel flow backwards...have f filter rechecked 1 test is to disconnect filter from motor side..to see if fuel spills....that will tell u if fuel is passing thru.....GL

On a 2001 Audi TT Quattro the fuel filter is located forward of the fuel tank, in the right rear wheel well area. The fuel line clamps are a bit tricky. The change will improve performance. The owners manual does not even list changing the filter. But do it! use a Fram, and it fit perfectly. Good luck.

IF YOU DON,T KNOW WHERE THE OIL&AIR FILTER ARE.IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR YOU TO TAKE THE CAR TO A LOCAL GARAGE AND GET THE WORK DONE THERE PLUS REPLACE THE OIL.WILL NOT COST MUCH.(GET A PRICE FIRST)..JUST KEEP BACK FROM AUDI DEALERSHIP GARAGES COST TO MUCH MONEY..

they probally in the fuel tank if blocked blow in fuel line or drain tank

she needs to change the fuel filter and its inside the tank and in order to do that she has to replace the whole fuel pump
