06 chevy equinox Blower motor not working. Motor, resistor, relay replaced. Relay 3 times now. Plug replaced. Something keeps blowing the relay. Any ideas?

Hi Mary,It seems you have replaced almost everything but the blower motor relay, here's a link to it and where it's at,if it doesn't fix, take back for a refund, hopefully it solves the problem.
That fuse sounds like it powers the ac compressor. The blower motor usually takes a 30 amp fuse. Does the blower motor work if you hook it to direct voltage ?
Your problem is the Relay which is encased inside the Heater/AC Resistor Module. This is a very common problem with GMC and Chevy Trucks. The Relay's return spring fails and the relay is held closed by gravity. The only fix is to replace the Resistor Module. I have a 2004 Silverado and have replaced the Module 3 times and the Blower Motor twice. The Orange wire feeding the Module is always Hot (12V) and feeds the Relay Contact for Highest Blower Speed. Hence the Blower runs all the time even with the Key off and removed.
IT COULD BE BLOWER MOTOR NOT GROUNDED.YOUR BLOWER MOTOR FUSE AND RELAY COULD BE BAD.MAKE SURE POWER IS GOING TO BLOWER.MOTOR.CHECK TO SEE IF POWER IS GOING TO SWITCH IF SO SWITCH COULD BE BAD.HOT WIRE BLOWER MOTOR USING JUMPER WIRE AND POWER FROM THE BATTERY.IF BLOWER MOTOR WORKS.YOU HAVE FUSE RELAY AND SWITCH PROBLEM.MOST THE TIME WHEN RESISTOR BAD.YOUR BLOWER MOTOR ONLY WORK ONE SPEED SOME TIME.
Run's continuously ? High speed , low , med 1,2, 3 . ????
Probably the high speed relay contact's stuck closed . The fuse for the high blower is hot at all times , low blower fuse is hot only with key on. It sparks becaused the motor turns on . If it had a short the fuse would blow . The blower motor relay is part of the resistor pack near the blower motor .
check the blower speed control, it most likely burned out, also jump battery power direct to the blower and see if it runs, if it does the speed control is defective, if it doesn't the blower motor is toast.
Bencar1 is right. The problem is probably the resistor. But it also could be a burned terminal in the 4 prong plug that attaches to the resistor. There will be burn marks on one of the prongs of the resistor if this is it. Look for the obvious. Good luck.
