does it crank or not.????? the IMMO bilizer on this car does NOT cut cranking . it cuts fuel (then spark) it only prevents running.... so what is next, easy! is the IMMO lamp off in dash? do say what step fails. you insert the key. turn to ign, on. the CEL glows (dash and the immo glows and goes out) the IMMo must not flash. (or see"NOkey" in dash) if the IMMo does not go out, it will never start (by design) it might run 2 seconds, but that is of on concern... it needs run to drive. here are some SKIM /SKIS (IMMO) features http://www.fixkick.com/Jeeps/SKIM.html what is lamp 12 doing in the photo. on your car.? the lamp location varies by year, and model jeep. the operators guide tell you where it is..

the IMMO can not be disabled, the ALARM yes.
but the SKIM;SKIS can not be.
well short of dealer reprogramming it , if they even will?

if the IMMO lamp glows, scan it.
or get it serviced (tows are expensive)
I'd buy and Innova 3160 scan tool an scan it in my drive way. sure would
and try both keys, car came with 2, try both now, never ever own a jeep with one key.

the operator guide shows how to disable alarm, using metal key in door and tail gate.
but that don't kill the IMMO, and starting.
does it start for 2 seconds.
does the IMMO light glow?

the car will not run if the IMMO is unhappy.
see that light, its wins all arguments.

this is the engine not start blocking lamp.
the IMMO(SKIS/SKIM)
if you use a scan tool it even tells you why it wont start, it will go like,
key is bad, and other things....
