Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder
I have an 03 Eclpise GT with air conditioner problems. It works something and other times it doesnt. Especially at night my air conditioner clutch will engage and blow cold, but during the afternoon , it wont even turn the clutch on. when it works it blows good. Everything is fin with the compressor and fren, its just something is keeping the air conditioner from engaging. What can i do.
There is a sun load and ambient temperature sensor that needs to be looked at.
there is a switch system connected so that under full throttle, the a/c is disabled to give more power.there is maybe something wrong with the override.
i would check the a/c relay as in the daytime, when hot it seems to fail.get a can of cold spray, and when the car is hot and not working, spray the relay.the cold spray can be bought at an electronics parts wholesale supplier.the temperature of the spray is -60F and it is great for finding thermal problems.
