No, I don't think that it's a common problem. I tried searching in every forum but I didn't find it as a topic. If you are having a problem with the roof struts and you may want to replace it, you may refer to the links below:

in your fuse box is and DME relay which is your fuel pump relay look for it ,that should solve your problem

high tensile steel bolts with a star drive in the centre of the head ,not a problem try your local auto factor failing which no doubt your local scrapyard will have buckets of bolts just sort them out till you find what you want

Cost of rear plastic window on 1999 911 cabriolet


Most auto upholstery shops can fix this - mine cost about $600 for a tinted plastic. Clear plastic was the same cost. I had mine done in Costa Mesa, CA

THEY ALL HAVE RELAYS THAT MAKE THEM WORK SO THE FIRST THING TO CHECK IS THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DASH FOR EVIDENCE OF WATER LEAKING ON IT

Manually retract convertible roof on 95 cabriolet


Open roof latch over windshild.
Raise rear of roof off of hatch
Lift little hatch tabs to access lift mechanism
Release latches on each side with fingers
Lift Hatch with free hand
Let roof fall into storage compartment
Click hatch shut.
Reverse proceedure to put back up.
