Van keeps cutting out after about 2 miles

Every day after about 2 miles it just cuts out. if i wait a while... it restarts, could it be the fuel cut off switch under the dash, or does the injectors need bleeding, or is it the fuel pump ? DOBLO 53 PLATE 1.9 D

The fuel systym should be leak free. Not only because you don't wan to waste fuel, you don't want a fire. If the fuel system isn't tight, When the vehicle sits not running, Air is drawn into the fuel sysystem and allows what fuel that is in the line to syphon back nto the tankcausing hard starts, rough running, and stalling. If an air pocket forms you have the same affect as a vapor lock in the cars of old. So, yes, It would be a good idea to have doubt removed and then see how everything goes.. Like it's said. Sometimes the solution is the obvious. - good luck.

Hy jeep cherokee starts then cut out. it is the fuel cut off switch but where do i find the sensor

Doesn't have fuel cut off switch ! No remote reset for fuel . Your best bet is have it towed to nearest repair shop .

Engine will run fine for a few minutes then cut off.

If you have good spark at the plugs then it is vacuum or fuel.
1 vac listen for hiss in the few min it runs
check lines for damage, splits, unhooked etc. don't forget under car and dash

2 check fuel pressure, check for fuel delivery to the cyl. remove spark plug crank and check small look for fuel. remove coil wire so it won't start on you.

The engine on my 2000 MPV cuts out and dies when I press the accelerator. After it sits for an hour or so, I can travel for 20 min. or so before the problem starts again. HELP!

if its been a while change the fuel filter and then have the fuel pressure and volume checked.these symptoms are very common for a fuel pump problem.

Hi my Discovery 1 1996 diesel 300 tdi (148k miles) when under a full load it cuts out for a few minutes and after switching of and waiting 5 minutes it restarts. Fuel filter has been changed and it runs on...

its the alarm spyder imoboliser behind the dash its cuts the fuel cut off on the injection pump stopping the engine they fail due to worn solder on the chip board to by pass it take a a piece of wire with a spade conecter to you fuel cut off solenoid on the injection pump take off old wire tape it up slide the new wire on feed the other end into the bulk head inside the car to the front of the fuse box there is a four pin plug from your ignition live snip the yellow wire ad your new wire with a block connecter to the yellow wire presto no more cut outs i would recomend this way as i had the same problem and wanted to make sure it would not cut the engine again it is dangerous if your exiting a junction kind regards chris.
