i havnt worked on a yugo in years....undo all 3 bolts on the front and the one at the back of the alt and remove(leave the belt in place if you want to)
then just lift it out,you will see that it has a long "arm"this is for belt adjustment when replacing the belt,to tension it. 1/2"play on the longest run.between pulleys..

The easiest way is to see a Opel dealer and read out fault codes with Tec II.

tensioner on one of the small pulleys with size 15 bolt head.. that will release enough slack to get it on... its spring loaded

see if you can find a hanes repair manul .they have wireing diegrams in them.

you will need to find a wireing diegram to tell you wich wire to test.try looking at your local liebary you may be able to get one there. or you can bye a hayns manul or chilton manul at a auto parts store . good luck

I have a 1991 Yugo GV that I bought for the chassis, it is being converted to electric. I believe this motor and prehaps other items may fit the Fiat X1/9 also.
