1991 Jaguar XJ6. Replaced power antenna but not getting power to the antenna. Fuse is ok but it should have one lead with 12 v all the time and one lead with 12v when key is on and radio turned on. No power to these leads at all with or without key or radio on. I see some relays. Little further up in the trunk labeled aerial up and aerial down. Could the relays be bad or is there another way to find out why there is no power to the antenna. Thanks for any help.

ignition timeing need setting or dodgey plugs and leeds normally bullet proof get these checked first when was it last serviced would look at getting this done as well hope this helps ivan
There is not a particular fuse for the radio that I have found. It seems that the Jaguar radio is specifically set to power the antenna. The installer should tell you what they did with the wire. If you told them the antenna was broken, or if they couldn't get it working, my bet is that they left the yellow, or blue antenna wire unhooked during installation. If you have a good antenna, and you have confirmed it, then the antenna should work when the radio is activated. That is the only solution other than the radio having an malfunction. You can check the 10 amp fuse on the back of the radio, but my bet is the antenna wire.
Could do. I think the ABS relay is housed in the same box as the starter relay. If so, you could have a blown fuse box link. Find the starter relay and see if it clicks when someone else turns the key to start. If not, see if there are volts on to the relay (there should be voltage on one side of the contacts when the ignition is on), there should also be volts on the coil when the ignition is turned to start. If not, check whether there is power to the fuse box (fuse links might have blown). If no power to coil, check gearbox park interlock switch - there is not much that stops a starter motor from turning, even in a sophisticated car like a Jaguar.
1991 jaguar xj6 RADIO couldn't turn ON! The radio can't turn its power on by the switch, the security indicator keeps flashing all the time no matter the switch is "ON" or "OFF". the fuses are good and the relays that I COULD find (in the trunk for the antenna) are good as well. I have power GOING to the radio from all indications but it doesn't come on or flash CODE for me to enter, which I do have. Is there something I'm missing or is the radio just shot? Also I found no fuse on the radio it's self. Is there some SIMPLE fix out there? Or should I START SHOPPING? Thanks.
