YOU HAVE SOMETHING CALLED AN IAC VALVE. REAL SHINY AND BOLTED TO THROTTLE BODY SIZE OF A D CELL BATTERY WITH A CONNECTOR SET AT A 90DEGREE AT END OF IT. TRY UNPLUGGING IT,ENGINE MAY DIE AND OK. USUALLY NOISE STOPS IF REAL BAD. IF STOPS YOU WILL KNOW FOR SURE THEN. AT THAT TIME JUST BUY ONE AND REPLACE IT AS IT COMES OFF,DON'T FORGET GASKET. MAY SET A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON,USUALLY NOT BUT IF RECONNECT AND AFTER A FEW DRIVE CYCLES IT WILL TURN OFF IF IT'S OFF NOW.

03 Nissan Altima showing codes P0304,P0102,P0154,P0113 what are they and how do i repair the problems.

Hi Chris.

p0304 = Number 4 Cylinder Misfire Detected

Faulty spark plug 4
Clogged or faulty fuel injector 4
Faulty ignition coil 4
Fuel injector 4 harness is open or shorted
Fuel injector 4 circuit poor electrical connection
Ignition coil 4 harness is open or shorted
Ignition coil 4 circuit poor electrical connection
Insufficient cylinder 4 compression
Incorrect fuel pressure
Intake air leak

The P0304 code means that the cylinder 4 is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks an if no leaks are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs on cylinder 4.

p0102 = Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input

Faulty mass air flow sensor
Intake air leaks
Dirty mass air flow sensor
Dirty mass air filter
Mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted
Mass air flow sensor circuit poor electrical connection

Before replacing the mass air flow sensor, try replacing the air filter and cleaning the air flow sensor with low compress air or mass air flow sensor cleaner.
Reset code and drive vehicle.
If the code comes back, it may be necessary to replaced the mass air flow sensor.

p0154 = O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected Sensor 1 Bank 2

Faulty Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2
Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 harness is open or shorted
Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 circuit poor electrical connection
Inappropriate fuel pressure
Faulty fuel injectors
Intake air leaks may be faulty
Exhaust gas leaks

Replacing the Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 usually takes care of the problem.

p0113 = Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High

Faulty Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor
Dirty air filter
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor harness is open or shorted
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor circuit poor electrical connection

The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is built into mass air flow sensor or in some vehicles mounted to the air filter duct housing. The sensor detects intake air temperature and transmits a signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM).The temperature sensing unit uses a thermistor which is sensitive to the change in temperature. Electrical resistance of the thermistor decreases in response to the temperature rise. The Intake Air Temperature signal is used as an input for various systems in the vehicle.

Hope this helps

Location air temp sensor

Location of Intake Air Temperature Sensor:
The intake air temperature sensor, which is mounted on the mass air flow meter, monitors the intake air temperature. The intake air temperature sensor has a built-in thermistor with a resistance that varies according to the temperature of the intake air. When the intake air temperature becomes low, the resistance of the thermistor increases When the temperature becomes high, the resistance drops .

I have cleand and change the maf flow and my car still stalls and cuts off the air flow ant wright and it want smooth out tillget over 55 60 miles on inerstate what can i do to fix the problem plus the car...

Hello, This sounds like a Traction control box problem. When you put in the MAF do you remember a pod on the Air duct around the Air filter? In the ductwork it looks like a butterfly valve (the humming) and it is part of the Traction control system. What happens on a Ford product is the Traction control reduces engine power by choking off air going into the engine as well as applying rear braking.

The Traction control has a speed range and it shuts off at higher speeds. This is probably why the problem disappears the faster you go. To fix this problem, you need to clean the ABS sensors in each wheel. The Ford rear Rotors have an Emergency brake setup inside the hub of the rear Rotors. There is a drum brake in each rear wheel inside the Rotor. When the brake lining and rust fall off the Emergency brake shoes, it blinds the ABS sensors. When the ABS can not count the wheel turns, it activates the Traction control. When the ABS sensors can see again, the noises and power problems should go away.

Also, for better acceleration, some of the old style Intake manifolds were metal and clogged up under the Airhorn. There are 8 bolts and 1 $10 gasket needed to clean out the groove under the Airhorn gasket. This will give your engine more pep.

I hope my solution is very helpful in explaining how to fix your car.
