1992 celica wont start and now battery is dead

Engine starting depend on the following systems:
1. Fuel system (fuel level, fuel filter, fuel pump pressure etc).
2. Ignition system.(Ignition fuse, spark plugs, spark plug cords, distributor signal, ignition coil, and ignition switch)
3. Battery. (11.4 V - 14 V)
4. Cylinder compression. (145 psi - 190 psi, valve clearance)
5. Starter rpm (250 rpm)

Spark without fire 1992 celica

Not sure I am following your story, but you need compression, spark at the right time, and fuel for the engine to start.
If you know for a fact the plugs are firing, and you have compression, you may not have fuel at the injectors.

1992 Toyota Celica problems

Could be the fuelpump but did you check the compression when the vehicle is hot? Could be wrong setting on valves.

My 1985 celica gts bogs down when i accelerate... I changed the fuel filter that did not help it idles smooth and everything if i am driving slow it is ok only when i goto accelerate fast it bogs down wont...

It sounds like you catalytic converter is clogged. You can get a universal replacement cat from Jeg's for $50.
If it is a clogged cat, it will be getting really hot.

My spark plugs have oil on them. The car will crank but will not go but 4 mph and thats with the gas pressed almost all the way 2 the floor??

change the plugs. they may fouled and not firing consistantly. change the fuel filter also and check pressure. could also be be weak or bad fuel pump

92 celica gt won't pass inspection, is it hard to replace and what would it cost me??? They say its the cat converter.

Catalytic converters can cost $50 to $500 to replace depending on what kind of car. They are expensive because they can contain gold, platinum, and other precious metals. My buddy gets $80-100 just for scrap iron ones! They can be very hard for a person with out the right tools to replace because they are welded in or the bolts rust up. Get quotes from at least 3 muffler shops on replacement. One of them may know of a generic cat that may get your toyota to pass, also a tune up (spark plugs, wires, and oil change) will make a difference. Good luck.

MY 1992 toyota celica acted like it was running out of gas and just quite and will not run agian. I have checked the fuel pump and the plugs are fireing. What else could be wrong?

could be alot of different things. try disconnecting the fuel line at the motor to see if you have fuel when the key is turned on. (put open end of line in a bottle preferrably clear to inspect for debris or water) If not replace fuel filter. could be a clogged catalytic converter, could be clogged injectors (if when you remove the fuel line at the motor there is fuel coming out when ignition is turned on) could be air filter is clogged. You can get rid of most of these without disconnecting anything by getting a can of choke and carb cleaner. Use it like you would starter fluid. (dont use starter fluid as it may lock up your motor) disconnect air filter and spray about a 2 second full spray into the air filter hose. have someone try to start the car. If it starts then you know its a fuel delivery problem and narrows it down for you.

Missing engine

were the spark plug gaps set properly with feeler gauges if they were put in straight from packet they need to be set to correct gap which could cause miss firing or it is possible the leads were not put back on in correct order and probably a good idea to reset the timing if you do not have a timing light pop into mechanic its a 5min job an honest mechanic at worst would charge you $10 .00 to do timing this would make a huge difference when starting of a morning hope this helps thanks glenn
