That indicates a charging system problem. You need to check battery and alternator functions. Overcharging as well as undercharging can cause light to come on.

    Hey stranger. Have you ever heard of the battery frying the alternator diode because it has too many cold cranking amps? My alternator diode fried at 61K miles and the alternator "repair guy" said the battery caused it. I live in AZ where the heat eats batteries for breakfast. I've replaced 3 batteries in 7 years (SOP for AZ). It seems battery mfgs tout higher cold cranking amps to sell batteries which in turn means I keep buying "better" batteries with more CCA's. What do ya think about the battery / alternator relationship? Personally I hope it's B.S. cause I don't want to replace my alternator (total Fn nightmare) every time by battery frys.

You might have to replace the alternator and the battery.

Disconected Battery and wait about 5 min if when hooked back up if light comes on again I would look at something got unpluged while that other work was going on!!
