Check for dirty IAC (idle air control), maybe EGR and throttle blade dirty also. Could also be bad coolant temp sensor, MAF/MAP, bad o2 sensor, tune up items.

2001Mercedes E320. Drives fine until I take my foot off gas peddle the car is still running but gas peddle does not work turn off then on runs fine until I take my foot off the peddle what is happing

If you have drive by wire. I would check the TPS first. It's under the gas pedal. (bad location). Unplug it and plug it back it. (bad connection) see if it still does it. If so. Have the codes read. I replace a lot of these because of the location. Bad water and moisture source.

TRUCK BATTERY DIES,STARTS WHEN JUMPED BUT WONT STAY RUNNING WITHOUT FOOT ON GAS

Some models have to be retaught how to idle once the battery dies, so you need to start the truck and feather the gas peddle to keep it running and do this for a few minutes, the computer has to relearn how to idle the engine.
