I put new head gaskets on a 1983 chevy s10 2.5 v6 to get the intake manifold off i had to lift up the dist a couple inches well i got every thing back and i set tdc 5 times and its still wont time

lifting the distributor up that far will have put the ignition timing out as it has come out of mesh
the procedure is to put the no1 piston on TDC compression and then set the rotor button directly in line with the mark on the distributor body for no 1 piston
Having done that and after starting the engine , using a timing light to twist the distributor body in the clamp until you get 10 Degrees btdc

Lift gate won't lock

Could be the latch in the gate. Could be wiring, they tend to break at the top of the gate where the wires goes into the body. Also could be the body control module.

All wheel drive dont work

there is an actuator in the front axle that engages the drive shaft to the wheels. there is also a vacuum actuator i believe in that model it is under the battery plate. if you put on lift you can trace the cable from the front axle back to the actuator and check the cable, actuator and vacuum lines. Gm's system is complex and when is messes up its a night mare. but common failures are actuator cracked or broken vacuum line.

Trans still wont engage

If there is no fluid when you take off one of the lines (check both: the cooler might be plugged) while the engine is running, and there is fluid in the trans, then you have a bad pump inside the trans, or the valve body fell off. Either way, it's probably not going to engage. Ever.

Lift kit for a '95 2wd dodge dakota

I am pretty sure that there is a lift kit available for a 95 dakota. There are a few ways to lift the body of the vehicle. I know a few people who have done it with hockey pucks. Drill holes through the center of the hockey pucks and place them in the body mounts. However, if you want buy a real lift kit, there are several sites that sell lift kits. I recently put a 9" suspension lift on a 1977 F-150. Most companys that make the kits offer more for newer vehicles.
I am not sure if I am allowed to post other websites, however, I did search for a lift for a 95 dakota and found one right away. There are three types of lifts that you can do. One is very limited but you can get the truck taller by putting bigger tires on it. Doing this will give you less clearance between the top of the tire and the fender well. There are also body lifts and suspension lifts. Body lifts are less expensive as there are less components to install. Suspension lifts are much more expensive but it is what I would reccomend for a larger lift. For a couple inches I would go with the body lift. For anything over 2 to 3 inches I would reccomend a suspension lift. If you can find a body lift kit for a 95 dakota 4x4, then you can use it on a 2 wheel drive as well.

Driver side window makes the sound like it is going down but doesnt. window is on track but wont stay up and wont go down or up

The drive teeth on the gear that turns with the window motor are not engaging the teeth on the lift mechanism. They may be stripped, or just out of alignment. You need to remove the inner door panel and investigate to see what the issue is. It may be that you need to push the window up slightly to get it to engage the lift gears, and then it'll go up.
