I just put a tranny in my 2005 Dodge Durango and I can't get the front drive shaft to go back in. There is simply not enough room. How do I get it to go back in?

Hate to tell you this but the front drive shaft has to be put in before you completely install the front drive axle. Do this lift front of ground put jack stands under body loosen up the front drive axle to the point you can get the drive axle installed. Good luck.

SOURCE: egr valve dodge durango

if this is a 4.7l engine, the valve is on the left rear of the intake. loosen the 8mm bolts that hold the egr intake tube to the egr valve, remove the egr bolts, disconnect wiring, remove valve and tube together, attach intake tube loosely to new valve, install new valve, tighten tube bolts to egr using a swivel socket, this is not a 5 minute job, so dont attempt unless you have some time and patience.

The p0300 What does that mean? Basically this means that the the car's computer has detected that not all of the engien's cylinders are firing properly.
A P0300 OBD DTC code indicates a random or multiple misfire. If the last digit is a number other than zero, it corresponds to the cylinder number that is misfiring. A P0302 code, for example, would tell you cylinder number two is misfiring. Unfortunately, a P0300 doesn't tell you specifically which cylinder(s) is/are mis-

SOURCE: reprogram 2005 Dodge Durango key fob

Go to the dealer. It is the only way, they have to use a computer. Changing the battery doesn't make it lose it's program though. You most likely broke the battery hold down. This is the most common thing I see at my shop. If the key still starts the vehicle, you now have a bad key fob. If not, you may be able to get it reprogrammed.

SOURCE: how hard is it to replace the front drive shaft on

Not hard at all. If you climb under it and look, you'll see where it mounts to the front differential and to the transfercase. Grab some tools and have at it! Pretty simple job.

2002 Dodge Durango SXT 4.7L RWD shaking (serious vibration) badly between 70 to 80 mph

If it were me I would take out the drive shaft and check the play in the universal joints (I know you said they were replaced). Unlike ball joints they should exhibit good freedom of movement and flop from one position to the next as the shaft is rotated in the hand. Check that the bearing cup retaining clips are present on all sides. If there is any tightness in a bearing it is possible that either one of the cups has been pressed (hammered?) in too far or that a needle bearing was dropped from the outer race into the cup during assembly. Also check that the cup holders (arms) are not bent, sometimes if care is not taken to support the back of the 'arms' when installing the bearing cups the 'arms' will bend.

2005 dodge durango driving down the road,

Are you actually hearing the engine speed change as well when this happens, or just seeing the tach needle make crazy readings??

If only the tach is being funky, then I would say a speed sensor on the tranny is on its way out. There is also a speed sensor on the rear axle of some Durangos that can cause this issue.

2001 dodge durango 4 wheel drive not working loud knocking

You need to check the cv joints in the front end or the u joints in the front drive shaft. If none of the above then the problem is internal in the front diff.

Engine code p0700 need help

It is possible that there are other causes, but if you just want to replace the output speed sensor:

it should be easy enough to find. it will be along the tail shaft pointing perpendicular to the drive shaft. It will have two wires for a harness. simply unplug the sensor, put a drop pan under it in case some fluid drops out. then just wrench it out, install the new one and hook everything back up. check fluid level if applicable... good luck
