It started after servicing and doing an engine wash. Whenever i am in traffic of at a stop light and have my foot on the brake pedal it just goes dead. It usually gives a bucking vibration right before it goes dead and if i put it in natural and rev for a bit then back it gear it doesn't shut off but i have to be very quick. Sometimes as soon as i start the car and about to drive off it goes dead. the steering gets stiff and i have no brakes. The 20amps fuse also gashes even when the gar is off. It i take it out and drive i still have the issue just not as mush. I NEED help cause no mechanic or electrician seems to know what the issue is and i cant be driving it in this condition
You did not bother to tell us what car you have. Many BMWs and Peugeots have horrible wiring that degrades and when you wash the engine the insulation comes off. Hope that is not your problem. Check to insure air cleaner is not soaked with water, and check for dirty IAC and that throttle body blade is not sticking open preventing the IAC from doing its job. Possible plug wire issue also.

The problem is the car think the park brake is on (intermittently). I would check the park brake switch, perhaps it's loose, or perhaps the park brake is pushed down to the first "click" spot. Also check the wiring connection to the switch, and the wiring nearby. Good luck!

Here are the most common causes of surges, stalls at stops, low erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation, it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

Replace the brake light switch above the brake pedal

Did they "turn" your rotors? They may have "improperly" turned your front rotors. This is common and they should correct this where you had the work done.
SOURCE: I have a 2000 Toyota Solara with 27,000 miles on
if it were the rotors it only happens when braking take in have them turn rotors see what happens good luck
