Why does the car go dead while being driven?

It started after servicing and doing an engine wash. Whenever i am in traffic of at a stop light and have my foot on the brake pedal it just goes dead. It usually gives a bucking vibration right before it goes dead and if i put it in natural and rev for a bit then back it gear it doesn't shut off but i have to be very quick. Sometimes as soon as i start the car and about to drive off it goes dead. the steering gets stiff and i have no brakes. The 20amps fuse also gashes even when the gar is off. It i take it out and drive i still have the issue just not as mush. I NEED help cause no mechanic or electrician seems to know what the issue is and i cant be driving it in this condition

You did not bother to tell us what car you have. Many BMWs and Peugeots have horrible wiring that degrades and when you wash the engine the insulation comes off. Hope that is not your problem. Check to insure air cleaner is not soaked with water, and check for dirty IAC and that throttle body blade is not sticking open preventing the IAC from doing its job. Possible plug wire issue also.

Testimonial: "It is a 98 Suzuki Baleno....checked as you suggested. All ok"

Try the trick below using "intake cleaner", it may help.

SOURCE: 1995 Buick Park Ave. Brake light remains ON and chimes on driving

The problem is the car think the park brake is on (intermittently). I would check the park brake switch, perhaps it's loose, or perhaps the park brake is pushed down to the first "click" spot. Also check the wiring connection to the switch, and the wiring nearby. Good luck!

SOURCE: car will start fine but will shut off as soon as I place in gear.

Here are the most common causes of surges, stalls at stops, low erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation, it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

SOURCE: steering wheel vibration

Did they "turn" your rotors? They may have "improperly" turned your front rotors. This is common and they should correct this where you had the work done.

My 2000 ford taurus seems to be misfiring while idling at traffic lights or sitting in traffic and engine light is flashing while this is happening. when i pull away from the light the engine sounds...

May be a coil pack if you say it starts when it gets warm..But check make sure the plugs and wires are good as well..If the engine light is flashing,,you need to have it fix as soon as possible..When its flashing ,,that means that its doing damage to the catalytic converter..If you wait to long you will have to replace that as well...they are very expensive..

When I stop at traffic light car goes dead. Now it is not souding right when in park. The spark plugs were changed and this did not fix the problem.

did it start after you changed plugs or before do you have coil packs on that or wires is the check engine light on while your driveing could be a faulty plug wire could be a fuel issue dirty fuel filter could be a sensor that controls the engine idle if the check engine light is on while the engine is running its throwing a trouble code

Viscous fan come loose can car be driven

It can be driven but you will have to monitor the engine temperature guage to make sure it doesn't get too hot. As long as your driving steadily over 30 mph, you should be fine. The problem is if you are stuck in traffic, your engine can overheat.

What you can do if you are stuck in traffic is turn your heat in your car to max and point the vents out the window. That will help somewhat. If you are stuck in traffic too long it may be wise to pull over and shut the engine off until the traffic is moving at a good clip again.

IT acts like running on two cylinders The check engine light flashes only when put in drive and driven sometimes a few feewt some times a mile but it always starts flashing till stop for a bit then the...

Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' (Service Engine Soon) light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on.
You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE the problem and perhaps eventually fix the problem.
Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.Take/Tow your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.
