loosen the nut at the bottom of the blades so that the wiper motor will work without moving the blades. cycle the wipers and allow the motor to come to the rest position. Fit the blades and tension the nut. Pull the arms off the windscreen and cycle the wiper motor to run until it stops put the wipers back on the screen and see where they are. IF parked properly then OK but if any where then replace the wiper motor as the sequencing gear inside is out of sync with the wiper action.
try changing the wiper relay first and check out the fuses if all is good then the motor itself may have seized or the worm drive may be worn or broken check the toothed spline where the wiper blade attaches the splines may be smooth or broken which will stop the blades moving back and forth
Let the tube squirt washer fluid directly on the windscreen, if it does a poor job then you may have to make a flat nozzle. Your local auto house supply should have some small plastic Ts for coupling hoses, find one that fits, cut it long enough to be fastened to the wiper blade with black tape or epoxy, heat the end and flatten with a pin to make a small passage. Use a cheap pair of gloves and use your hand to flatten the softened plastic. The only McGyver trick I know for this!
I have not looked at the wipers on one yet but if they use a standard wiper, dont change the entire blade assembly. Change just the insert portion of the wiper blade if that is an option. Just lift the arm and then flatten back the blade assembly and a gap should form at one end so that you can slide the blade out from the the flex portion of the assembly. Then just stick the new inserts in the way you pulled the old ones out. At one time that was all that people used to replace. Now we think that we have to replace the flex portion as well but normally you dont. I dont have a 2005 Jaguar but it might also be a special blade you have to purchase. I have seen that before as well. Hope this helps...
This is the park switch in the motor, try prising the top off the motor gently, it will only come off so far as wires will stop you, clean grease away from micro switch then spray with wd40.
if this fails new motor I am afraid
