Hi, i have a 2001 Audi A4 2.0(b6). Have a few electrical issues, electric windows interior lights and central locking dont work, any ideas?

Bought the car recently and have tried to research these problems. They seem common. A lot of content come back to Comfort Control Module being faulty?remote boot lock and button also don't work, needs opened with the ignition key. dont know if CCM fault is correct or how to replace it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Magnus

With what you have stated, you have a body control module(BCM)problem. CCM(A/C) has nothing to do with lights, inside or out, windows, or lock problems. If you had ground problems inside it would affect other things like A/C and IP. So you need to find the BCM and pull the plugs, Look for corrosion. I go further and pull the BCM and take it apart. Look for corrosion inside of it. It can be cleaned to work again.

1999 Audi A3 1.8T Electric Windows and Central Locking Won't work

will your passenger door open with the key and is it just one side that your windows are not working or both. if its just one side it might be your regulator motor in the door thats not working if its both it might be your central locking pump usually in the boot. however if both of them are working fine it could be that your key needs reprogrammed however i think the 1st 2 are more likely to be the problem.

Central locking and windows unusable due to leak

I've been dealing with similar problems (windows and sunroof dead, power locks iffy, dome light doesn't work, random chiming) and best I can figure is:

a) get rid of the leak and any standing water
b) depending on the year of your car check the relays and/or central locking module

I spent a lot of time checking the ECU and door interior parts and those were both dead ends. I also thought the standing water on the floor might be shorting actual wiring, but now I've eliminated that as well. Although my alarm hasn't been going off, the "door chime" has and the instrument cluster sometimes shows 3 or 4 doors open while driving. VAG-COM showed some alarm trip type faults as well. Central locking is my next move when I've got some time.

Audi a4 1.8t windows, interior light wing mirrors not working

Folks, Just found my problem ...... There's a flexible conduit (corrugated rubber sleeve) between the driver's door and the door arch which contains the wiring loom for the drivers door central locking/door speaker/electric windows/mirrors etc....discovered when I slipped off the sleeve that 4 cables in the wiring loom had broken due to repeated flexing when drivers door was opened/closed over the years (2001 Audi A4). Resoldered broken wires and insulated same....now working better than ever again ...ie dashboard back lighting seems brighter than it had been for some time? Also drivers door loudspeaker is back in action again (hadn't noticed that it had gone).
It's kinda difficult to reseat the rubber sleeving correctly after the repair job...will probably use some silicone sealant on the sleeve to ensure that there is no water ingress to wiring loom afterwards. I'm not too impressed with Audi design people after that, should have used cable that has a better flexibility rating (esp on drivers door!).

Paul.

Audi fault code J386 (2002)

There's a TSB on that problem. It involves broken wires in the A and B pillar from the central convenience module to the rest of the car. Ask your VW dealership or what not for a more specific answer.
