SOURCE: My 1999 Ford Explorer has the ABS and Engine light lit. When I put on the scanner, detected errors with the following codes: C1230, P0171 and P0174. What problem does my ford explorer?

You will need a book for that...and good luck at finding what you need, the Chilton Books, and others have cut their info. back to maintenance only...for the most part. go to AutoZone, They have a good system, and if you find a friendly Parts Person, they might be able to help you...or you can take it to a known, good, Mechanic...

My turn signals and emergency flashers work some time where is the turn signal flasher relay located and how do you detach it?

For 1998 Ford Truck Explorer 4WD 4.0L EFI SOHC 6cyl the Flasher is located in front seating area, driver side, behind dash, mounted on steering column.

Both the turn signal flasher and the hazard warning flasher are mounted on the fuse panel on the truck. To gain access to the fuse panel, remove the cover from the lower edge of the instrument panel below the steering column. First remove the two fasteners from the lower edge of the cover. Then pull the cover downward until the spring clips disengage from the instrument panel.

The turn signal flasher unit is mounted on the front of the fuse panel, and the hazard warning flasher is mounted on the rear of the fuse panel.

Hope helps.

Engine light is on, flashes when driving above 100 Km

stop by local parts store (Autozone,Advance, etc) and have them do a free fault code test. They can print out a list of faults and clear the codes
