Question about Cars & Trucks
If you are stuck in Park because the shifter won't move, then you probably have a problem with the shift lock solenoid. It is supposed to release the shifter when the brake pedal is pressed. Most vehicles have a manual release for the shifter if the solenoid fails. You may be ale to see it if you search for it, otherwise look in the owners manual for info on where it is and how to activate it. If you can move the shifter and are still stuck in Park, then you either have a shift linkage problem or a transmission issue.

On the top of the bellhousing. From the drivers point of view it is in the 11:00 o'clock position. The harness wraps around the back of the bellhousing and plugs in on the passenger side of the block near the oil sending unit.
