ok after thorough testing and some good help, i notised
there is a loss of spark, wen cranking the engine, pulled out and cleaned almost all the conectors and plugs, inserted direct current to coil. the car tries to start and sometimes it does! and it feels like a timing issue, it shakes and is very unstable and stalls i can see it turn backwards and puffing though the intake, but all the marks are in place timing belt ok, TDC ok, replaced distributor, cleaned rusted conectors, have veen looking at codes from the ecu, it blincs both leds at the same time only once the green by itself, im guesing 11,23,33,44 and 55 are the codes, hope this is good enough info!

Thats a classic sign of having your engine run too rich. That puffy layer of ash is carbon which means your engine is not burning gas properly or completely which means is misfiring thats why the car is shaking. Try having your oxygen sensors checked and make sure you are using good fuel.

Rpms jumpin a few times then car shuts off

Hi William, Sounds to me as if you have an electrical problem, very likely with an earth connection somewhere. Some additional info would be good. Does the vehicle have points and condenser or is the ugnition system electronic? Does it have electronic fuel injection, or is it fitted with an electronic carburettor? The more info you lt us have, the easier it is to get help. Regards John

96 nissan 200sx started and ran rough for 10 sec then died and wont restart. distributor is turning. no fault codes. has good fuel pressure. spark looked weak so i changed cap and rotor. still wont start....

something to ponder over here as iam not sure what could be the problem here but if its a weak spark then it could be module /coil/crank sensor in that order .These problems will not show up as fault codes i dont think as they are working but not to full efficiency

Moved my rx8 yesterday.i got ack in it this

verify condition by spraying some starter fuel in should start and die if its a fuel problem.
if it still does nothing start checking any and all fuses.if all the fuses are good take out a spark plug and verify no spark.
if no spark check the ignition module.
it might be able to have it checked at autozone for free.but you will have to remove it.

Seems to be overfuelling

There should'nt be any fuel in your oil, it sounds like you might have a blown head gasket. If you think it might be overfuelling then remove the injector clips (don't mess up the order) and pour some fuel down the manifold and try start it. If it does'nt give a good effort at starting then I'd say you need to run a compression test. Sounds like you have a cracked block, warped head or bad head gasket.
