Reset fuel shut

You sound like you had an accident recently & the fuel to the fuel-injector has a shut off safety switch that was activated. The button is in your trunk of the car. This much I know it happened to mine.

98 mustang gt cut off after get warm

H ave you checked for gas at carb,or injectors checked fuel filter, water in gas tank, old gas, vaccum leak if you haven;t checked for these problems try and see what happens, sound like fuel filter clogged up not letting gas thru.. do you have a inline fuel filter at carb or injectors , some times they get dirt in them, check for these problems first..then move on to another solution.

the pcm monitors fuel requirements through sensors so it knows how much fuel is needed to keep the motor running under different demands depending on what or how the driver is driving the car.the pcm grounds the injector circuit while supplying power to the injector all the time the key is on.when the pcm grounds the injector,it opens it allowing fuel to enter cylinder to be burnt for the on time(open injector) that is required for the demand on the motor.

89 ford f150 in-line 6 cylinder. i have replaced a few injectors both fuel pumps and filter. idles like a dream. when i hit the gas it studders but doesn't die. need more info ask. any ideas?

This is for a 1989 Ford F150 In-Line 6-Cylinder (4.9L) wrongly posted by the Asker under a 1986 Ford Mustang....

Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator. Look it up on line at any of the reputable auto parts websites to get an idea what it looks like.
There should be a Rubber Vacuum Line coming from this (the Regulator is located on the Fuel Line prior to the Fuel Injectors) to the Intake. Take this Line OFF. If there is gas in that line = The Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator diaphram is broken and the Fuel is being dumped into the Intake and NOT being advanced onto the Fuel Injectors; and the Regulator must be replaced.
Let me know if this helped.

I need to know where the fuel injector is located on my 97 tahoe 5.7

The 96'-98' vortec 350 has 8 fuel injectors that are contained inside the intake manifold. the vortec uses whats called csfi which is called central sequential fuel injection it has 8 electronic fuel injectors and 8 mechanical ones these are the ones that deliver the fuel.

Good luck and keep me posted for any other questions you may have.

I have a 98 mustang V-6 when I turn it over it just cranks. I pushed the reset switch an im not sure where the fuel pump is to check that.

The fuel pump is in the fuel tank.Best way to check it is to pull the fuel lines off that are under the hood at the fuel rail going to the injectors and then checking if fuel sprays out when cranking the engine

Check fuel pressure. Could be fuel pump witch is in the tank and replace the TFI module located under the distributor.
