03 s10 turn signal fuse keeps blowing

the turn signal circuits are shorted,,the fuse blowing saved you from a fire.(burning harnesses)
faili on left or right or both and HAZARDS? SORRY 3 fuses to learn that.
USA answers, Chevy S10 only
there are 2turn fuses, I see, in the schematics.
LT-turn and RT-turn, so now you know which side is shorted. just a glance and bingo , side. bad know, cutting work in ;1/2.
but, there is 10amp turn fuse too, that runs the turn flasher module
so 4fuses, turn left and turn, main and haz main.
this is bad.

turn-undefined-undefined-0.jpg any thing in this whole turn system can blow fuse turn main, BLK.
but learning if only one side fails ,is great moment,
if both fails, the problem is this module or the turn swtich is shorted.

Main fuse getting hot

as a fuse is a bit of resistance wire that heats up to the point where the excess current burns it out , it will get hot
If the fuse is getting hot to the the touch and bot blowing indicates incorrect size fuse in use
the wires to and from that fuse should also be hot to the touch

Why does my brake wire burn in half on my 2000 mustang?

Very strange. If circuit is pulling enough amps to burn up wire, one would expect fuse to blow. Is it possible something else is heating the wire, such as heater vent hose leaking, courtesy lamp bulb too close, other such? Could be that Hot Foot you are driving with, lol.

Put new battery in now car does nothing....no power going to car at all. not able to jump...no lights...no start...nothing. located relay box and cross-over wire burned out and one red square fuse. how...

Hi there,

Sounds like your Main 30A Fuse Link (i.e. hot at all times) or an in-line fuse may have blown, during cable connection (or due to incorrect jump starting).

First, follow the RED + battery cable from the battery and check if there is an in-line fuse along the cable - replace if blown.

The Main 30A (depending on model) Fuse is situated up in the engine bay fuse box.

These fuses carry a lot of current and hence, are usually secured into the fuse box by either large screws or 8-10mm bolts. Look for the mounting screws/bolts on the side of the blown fuse (you may have to undo another component to gain access to your main fuse).

Make sure the battery is disconnected BEFORE you attempt to replace any fuses.

Good luck..
