Question about 1997 Mitsubishi Galant
Your firing order is 1-3-4-2
Your engine cylinder from the passenger to driver's side is 4-3-2-1
Your distributor rotates counter clock wise and #1 is the first post.
Unfortunately Mitsubishi make provisions for checking and adjusting the ignition timing with the use of a scan tool. Most shops do have a scan tool that can be used to check and adjust the ignition timing. sorry friend
