Your ar may be in limp mode and will not engage the 4th gear so your in 3rd or even 2nd if there is a transmission problem. Check the transmission fluid and make sure it's not burnt, (dark burgundy color) it should be bright red and clear. If it's dark and burnt, then there is a good chance that there is transmission problem which is causing your transmission not to shift to higher gears past 2nd or 3rd. Good luck and hope your transmission is good.

Sounds like a gear problem. Inner clutch might be slipping.

Pull your transmission (gearbox) oil dipstick and look at the oil. It should be a clean red colour. If brown or black change the oil as soon as possible because it is burnt and old ... you have slipping.

sounds like an ignition switch glitch or ignition harness problem can be either depending on the amount of wear and tear with turning on and off of the ignition tumbler or possible chafing or inconsistent short in harness to ignition switch check the ground line up through harness first and check the wiring harness condition

Accent 2001 won't start after driving for only 100km

you may want to see if your catalitic converter is clogged up. I had a car that had that problem, when you drove too much it would die and wouldn't start for a long time after that. I had the converter replaced and now it drives just fine. May not be the same problem but it could be. and most muffler shops will check for a small fee if not for free.
