Question about 1998 Ford Mustang
The theft light blinking fast because there is a problem with the PATS ,(passive antitheft system). You either have a bad chip in one of your keys,PATS transceiver on ignition cylinder or computer. If it is a key you would have to have them programmed into system which requires you to have 2 keys and certain diagnostic equipment to program them into sytem. I would take it to your service provider or someone who has the equipment to do this like a ford or lincoln, mercury dealer.Have a good one!

Left signal lights??? odd, are there any error codes??? How is the battery = is it possible to try someone else's battery in case that the problem. also, can try reseting it by unplugging battery and then holding down brake pedal for 30 seconds then plugging battery back in. you would realy need the codes out of the computer if it still won't start after that
good luck hope this helps

When the ignition is turned to RUN or START, the
theft indicator will light for 3 seconds and then go
out. If the theft indicator stays on for an extended
period of time or flashes rapidly, have the system
serviced by your dealership or a qualified technician.
