My clutch cable keeps snapping (seems like a regular occurence with corsas) Im looking for the clutch pedal part with the plastic part where the clutch cable fits into. A brand new one is going to cost me too much. IV spent hopelessly too much money on fixing the clutch only to find out the actual problem with the plastic part being broken. Any ideas where I can get this part for a cheaper rate than from a GM dealer? Iv asked at various scrapyards with no luck.

If the mileage on the car is high it might be the clutch pressure plate going U/S and need to be replaced. It can also be (if fitted) the cable between the pedal and gearbox going bad and sticky. (If the car has hydraulic clutch activation it will obviously not have a cable.)
Slide under the car and look at the clutch actuator. If there is a hydraulic line connected to a cylinder, then it's hydraulic. If there is a master cylinder connected to the clutch pedal, that's a sure way to identify it.
Renew the clutch cable its a auto adjust mechanism and the cable comes with a plastic tie around the middle bit so fit the cable and then and only then remove the tie ,this is a difficult job and not easy for a weekend mechanic so be warned
The clutch cable causes these problems the cables are plastic lined and bind under pressure inspect where cable enters housing if looks like several paths to travel replace cable with new rachet gear.
Check the spring to see if it has snapped anywhere within it's coil.
Remove the cable and check operation of the pedal and spring mechanism. If all is well, then with a lever, check that the clutch release arm on the gearbox is operational. If that is also sticking, then you will have to remove the gearbox to investigate further. If not sticking, then also remove the clutch cable outer sleeve, and replace.
there is a little plastic link between the end of the cable and the clutch pedal which can snap check it is not this before attempting to replace the cable.
nipple on top of pedal to release mechanism their is alan key head behind pedal just unwind it the with pedal down drop new cable nipple into the slot thingy.this model doesnt take long compared with old plastic auto adjust type .look at it and you will soon sus it out a 10 min job
