Question about 2005 Volkswagen Touareg
I have two lighter sockets that don't work anymore, what could the problem be? Could it be a fuse?
It could definitely be a fuse - also check to make sure there isn't a coin in there. A penny or a dime fit in there just right and can cause the fuse to blow.

SOURCE: fuse for lighter
fuse panels are often in the inside panel of doors, under hood or under column
The reverse side of cover will tell you were to find it. Check the coils in the lighter itself they could be clogged causing it to blow. You may need a new lighter.
